You’ll often hear it said by UK comic reviewers, and by Quitely himself, that Dudley D Watkins is a real influence on Quitely’s art. Watkins was a prolific Scottish comic artist, creating art for The Beano, The Dandy, The Beezer and Topper. His character Desperate Dan has his own statue in Dundee, while The Broons and Oor Wullie (Quitely’s sketch above!) continue to this day - they’re still Scotland’s bestselling Christmas annuals!
I’m pretty sure we need a sketch of Damian sitting on a bucket - yes?

thalestral:

You’re welcome.

Grant Morrison, frequent collaborator with Frank Quitely on mind-bending comics like Flex Mentallo, JLA: Earth 2, The Invisibles, New X-Men, We3, All-Star Superman, Batman and Robin, and Pax Americana.

Grant is pretty much the top writer in comics of the last two decades, and also finds time to play with My Chemical Romance, write screenplays, Supergods, and a bajillion comics.

The new Glasgow Boys then?
